The LG handsets will now incorporate the Dolby Mobile technology according to an announcement made by LG and Dolby Laboratories.
LG plans to include various Dolby Mobile features in its handsets like natural bass, mobile surround, graphic EQ, sound space expander, high frequency enhancer, sound level control and mono-to-stereo converter.
The inclusion of these features will help the LG handsets deliver realistic surround sound experience with headphones, create a wide, rich and spacious soundstage for music playback, add remarkable boost and bass extension, restore high-frequency effects and tune the audio experience.
Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, commented, “Being the first company to incorporate Dolby Mobile technology into handsets for the global market reinforces LG’s role as a leader in the mobile industry and in multimedia phones. We believe this technology will raise the bar for audio quality on multimedia phones and expect Dolby Mobile to help us create a new trend in the mobile phone industry. LG is committed to providing our customers with the best features available and our new collaboration with Dolby helps us deliver on this pledge.”
Apparently, LG will be launching these high end multi-media handsets starting from Q4 2008.
