Microsoft to Drop Xbox 360 Price Next Month?

Just a few weeks back we had reported about theX box 360 price drop by Microsoft but once again there are rumors circulating which hint that there could be another price drop in the offing. However, the news is just speculation at this stage.
Art Technica is reporting that Microsoft will cut the price for its Xbox 360 consoles next month. Apparently, they expect the Xbox 360 Arcade (no hard drive) to carry a new price tag of $199, the Pro (60 GB) version of Xbox 360 would be made available for $299 and the Elite (120 GB) model would cost $399.
Previously, Microsoft had reduced the price of the 60 GB version to $349 and 20 GB model to $299. Now, if you compare the cost, 60 GB has again reached the same price tag as that of 20 GB.
Comparing the current prices of Live Arcade and Elite console with the new speculated prices, the Arcade will receive a price cut by $80 and the Elite console will have a price drop by $50.

It would be great to see that the 360 will be getting a price drop next month. Let's hope that this is true.

If you're looking to get the 360 (or PS3, for that matter) for free, take a look at this Stacker 2 contest going on where if you win you get the system of your choice, a copy of Rise of the Argonauts, a year's supply of 6 Hour Power energy shots, and more. There are less than 170 entrants so far so chances of winning are pretty decent. Check out the details here: http://www.brickfish.com/Entertainment/Stacker2?tab=overview

Be sure to let me know by e-mail if you enter... I'll be glad to vote for your designs. Feel free to ask me any questions about it too. Good luck.
